Clacton on Sea, UK –Pickering Interfaces has expanded its large range of PXI switching modules with the introduction of two new versatile MUX solutions, the 40-612 and 40-613.

The 40-612 is a software configurable MUX that can support one pole or two pole configurations with isolation relays. The flexible software controlled architecture supports diverse MUX configurations varying from a single pole 128 way MUX to 8 banks of 8 channel 2 pole MUX’s.

The 40-613 is a software configurable MUX supporting 2 pole configurations. The flexible software controlled architecture supports MUX configurations varying from a 2 pole 64 way MUX to 16 banks of 4 channel MUX

Both modules are implemented using high quality electromechanical relays rated for operation to 220 V DC and 250 V AC and 2 A hot or cold switching.

Each PXI module occupies just one 3U PXI slot and is supplied with VISA and kernel drivers. According to Shaun Fuller, Product Manager for PXI switching at Pickering Interfaces, “The new modules are particularly useful for applications where there are a variety of different test targets requiring different switching configurations or where the test application is expected to change with time. The ability to configure a mux without adding or modifying jumpers or changing the connector block on a module is a real plus, speeding test program development and minimizing the possibility of damage or error. The 40-612 and 40-613 are each designed to provide a flexible and robust solution to MUX selection.”
